Henan pink botryoidal fluorite at 9.9 cm and 255 g; a cabinet plate with a rare habit.
Fluorite crystallises in the cubic system and is prized for its saturated colour, glassy lustre and the way zoned phantoms appear when the crystals are back-lit.
Henan's Luoning and Songxian districts are the source of Chinese wulfenite, mimetite, pyromorphite and vanadinite.
Dimensions place it in the cabinet range, 9.9 × 8 × 2.5 cm (3.90 × 3.15 × 0.98 in) and 255 g (9.0 oz). The specimen is otherwise sold in the condition shown.
