A cluster of glassy, colourless-to-white crystals: transparent fluorite cubes mixed with scheelite bipyramids whose tips carry a faint purple tint. Fine white druse fills the gaps.
Yaogangxian scheelite with clear fluorite in a 17 g thumbnail; the scheelite should fluoresce blue-white under short-wave UV, which is the easy way to tell the two species apart.
It measures 4.2 × 2.3 × 1.2 cm (1.65 × 0.91 × 0.47 in) and weighs 17 g (0.6 oz), a miniature-sized piece that fits a miniature cabinet or a desk display. What you see in the photos is the piece you receive; any known repair, mount or treatment is disclosed above.
