À propos de ce spécimen
South African cactus (spirit) quartz at 27 g; a miniature with the classic Magaliesberg form.
Quartz is the most collected mineral on earth for good reason: sharp hexagonal prisms, bright terminations and endless variation between localities.
South Africa's Kalahari manganese field and N'Chwaning mines are the source of rhodochrosite, calcite and rare manganese minerals.
Dimensions place it in the miniature range, 4.4 × 2.9 × 2.3 cm (1.73 × 1.14 × 0.91 in) and 27 g (1.0 oz). Condition is otherwise as photographed.
Specimens are photographed and catalogued one at a time before they reach this page.
