À propos de ce spécimen
Yunnan acicular blue aragonite at 70 g; a small cabinet piece in a gentle sea-green.
Aragonite grows as radiating or stacked crystals, a habit that gives the species its sculptural, coral-like look.
Yunnan's copper and lead-zinc districts produce the azurite, malachite, pyromorphite, hemimorphite and blue aragonite that define Chinese secondary minerals.
Dimensions place it in the small cabinet range, 6.3 × 4.8 × 1.8 cm (2.48 × 1.89 × 0.71 in) and 70 g (2.5 oz). Condition is otherwise as photographed.
Carbonate: never clean with acid or vinegar.
Every specimen here is photographed and catalogued individually before listing.
