Zhejiang octahedral green fluorite at 156 g; a cabinet piece that shows best with light behind it.
Fluorite is the classic collector's halide: calcium fluoride that grows as cubes, octahedra and stepped combinations, often with colour zoning that shows best in daylight.
Zhejiang's Jiangshan and Qingtian districts are known for babingtonite, prehnite, fluorite and quartz from volcanic-hosted veins.
Dimensions place it in the cabinet range, 8.5 × 5.1 × 2.7 cm (3.35 × 2.01 × 1.06 in) and 156 g (5.5 oz). Otherwise the piece is sold exactly as photographed.
