À propos de ce spécimen
Yunnan red aragonite with white aragonite at 18 g; a small cabinet piece with striking colour.
Aragonite grows as radiating or stacked crystals, a habit that gives the species its sculptural, coral-like look.
Yunnan is China's most mineralogically diverse province, source of the pyromorphite, azurite and blue aragonite that have become collector favourites.
The piece is small cabinet in size, 7 × 2 × 2 cm (2.76 × 0.79 × 0.79 in) and 18 g (0.6 oz). Otherwise the piece is sold exactly as photographed.
Carbonate: never clean with acid or vinegar.
Specimens are photographed and catalogued one at a time before they reach this page.
