Quattro specie di Xuebaoding condividono questo pezzo compatto da combinazione: un deciso cristallo di acquamarina azzurro brinato su una spalla, un gruppo di cassiterite nero corvino ad alta lucentezza sull'altra, rosette argentee di muscovite in mezzo e un campo di punte di quarzo lattiginoso più in basso. Lo faccia ruotare e ciascun minerale prende il suo turno nella luce.
L'azzurro da ghiacciaio dell'acquamarina contro il nero bagnato della cassiterite è il contrasto per antonomasia di Xuebaoding, nella contea di Pingwu, Sichuan; qui la mica e il quarzo completano il racconto della sacca su un unico palcoscenico grande quanto una mano.
