Sferette lilla ricoprono questa agata uva indonesiana dalla base alla sommità, a migliaia, nessuna più grande di un grano di pepe. Sul fianco sinistro un'ampia zona vira al verde salvia e al grigio-azzurro, così il cuneo si legge come due colori che si incontrano lungo una diagonale morbida, mentre il lato destro resta malva pallido e lucido e prende la luce come vetro smerigliato.
Il verde segnala un cambiamento nel fluido che riempiva la cavità, non una specie diversa deposta sopra: il calcedonio raccoglie un colore tenue dai metalli in traccia presenti in soluzione mentre ogni nuovo strato di sferette si nuclea. Ciò che tiene in mano è il rivestimento di una sacca di gas in roccia vulcanica, estratto intero. La durezza è 6,5–7, ma le sferette poggiano su peduncoli sottili: tenga la superficie lontana da maniche e panni per la polvere.
Generoso per questo materiale con 10,2 × 3,8 × 7,6 cm e 210 g, riempie una mano come mostrano le fotografie e sta in piedi senza montatura. Fotografato così come ci è arrivato, e spedito esattamente come fotografato.
