Guizhou frosted purple fluorite with quartz at 255 g; a cabinet piece with a velvety colour.
Fluorite is the classic collector's halide: calcium fluoride that grows as cubes, octahedra and stepped combinations, often with colour zoning that shows best in daylight.
Quartz is the most collected mineral on earth for good reason: sharp hexagonal prisms, bright terminations and endless variation between localities.
Guizhou is the source of the collector creedite and hosts important fluorite, calcite and copper-mineral localities around Qinglong.
The piece is cabinet in size, 8.8 × 6.7 × 4 cm (3.46 × 2.64 × 1.57 in) and 255 g (9.0 oz). The specimen is otherwise sold in the condition shown.
