關於此標本
一顆薰衣草紫的立方體，像擲到一半被凍結的骰子般以晶角立起，撐起了這件瑤崗仙小型標本。它通透得可以直接看穿後方的母岩，每一個晶面都撲著一層糖霜般的白色微晶，柔化了光線，稜邊卻保留著更深的紫。方塊下方的灰色母岩殘座上，散布著一群同色的迷你立方體。
這樣的色帶分區是瑤崗仙的招牌：紫色集中在稜與角上，往中央逐漸淡到近乎清澈透明。在螢石（CaF2）中，這種紫並非來自任何單一色素，而是晶格缺陷與微量稀土元素置換所致，而且往往精確地描出生長前緣。螢石偏軟——莫氏硬度 4，具完全八面體解理——因此請托住底座取放，切勿捏著立方體。
