關於此標本
方鉛礦很少這樣賣弄自己：漏斗狀的骸晶立方體，晶面長成階梯狀的框架而非實心的方塊，在底下明亮的金屬之上罩著一層柔和的藍灰色包漿。它們層層疊疊地橫過一團黃銅色的黃銅礦，而針尖般銳利、清澈如水的石英則自縫隙間如霜花般迸出。
骸晶生長發生在晶體的稜邊長得比晶面更快時——這是快速結晶的標誌——收藏家對這種形態的方鉛礦的重視遠高於常見的實心立方體。藍色的金屬、金色的硫化物與透明的石英構成三方對比，在小型標本的尺寸上仍有十足的存在感。
尺寸為 3.7 × 4.2 × 4.2 cm，重量達密實的 85 g，陳列於圖中所示的壓克力底座上。產地未記錄——按收貨狀態出售。照片拍攝的即為實物標本。
