一塊平整的三角形石板，自晶洞洞壁鋸下，邊緣保留粗糙原貌，最暗的一角雕著一隻眼睛：眼瞼、睫毛與眉以淺浮雕刻出，眼窩中嵌入一顆拋光黑珠作為瞳孔。右側同一塊石板轉為一片細小的丁香灰色晶簇，提醒著人們它原本是空腔的內襯。
石板深色帶斑點的主體是含礦岩石；襯在空腔內的瑪瑙與玉髓則是隱晶質石英，SiO2，莫氏硬度 6.5 至 7——夠硬，足以讓雕刻者刻出俐落的線條而不致在刀口邊緣崩碎。這類作品通常會選在破開晶洞最平整的一面上構圖，好讓晶簇區完好無損地留在圖案旁邊。
石板尺寸為 9.1 × 8.6 × 2.3 cm，重 184 g。隨附圖中的透明壓克力立柱座，可將三角板立起，並讓光線照進晶簇。雕刻、黑珠與晶簇一角：您收到的就是照片中的這一塊。
