兩枚玻璃光澤的螢石立方體彼此穿生，構成這件瑤崗仙標本的核心——教科書等級的貫穿雙晶，而且是該礦罕有產出的尺度。它的顏色做了一件了不起的事：每枚立方體透過晶面看去是淡淡的冰藍，卻恰恰沿著稜與角轉深為紫羅蘭色，使整個雙晶看起來像是用紫色墨水描出來的。光線乾淨穿透之處，柔和的藍綠色窗口向晶體內部敞開。
透明度是頂級瑤崗仙螢石的標尺，而這一件在數公分的厚度內清澈如水——朝著窗戶舉起，房間另一頭的景象會帶著淡紫色調透過來。底部一道不張揚的乳白色石英帶，印證了晶洞的共生關係，卻不與主角爭鋒。
湖南郴州的瑤崗仙鎢礦，大型潔淨雙晶的產出已細若涓流；同時具備這般透明度、尺寸與稜邊色帶的晶體，如今確實難以尋得，這也是我們經手過最出色的螢石之一。它重 1,195 g，尺寸 12.4 × 10.2 × 7.4 cm。
