兩片薄板在此同行，並排看來像是同一個晶洞的兩種心情。左邊，紫羅蘭色螢石立方體自餅乾色的細小晶體結殼中頂出，色帶沿某條稜線重疊之處最深，幾近墨色。右邊同樣的立方體卻淡了下來——灰薰衣草色、更具玻璃感、以淺階層疊——覆在一道帶鏽橙斑點的白堊色礦脈之上。
湖南瑤崗仙是這類螢石的中國經典產地：立方體銳利、紫色隨光線角度流轉，並習慣以層階方式堆築。CaF2 作為陳列礦物偏軟，莫氏硬度 4，具完全八面體解理，所以請托著母岩拿取每一片。部分瑤崗仙標本在紫外光下會發螢光；本礦種在這方面難以預料，請把任何發光都視為附贈，而非承諾。
整組合計 20 g，每件標示約 5.1 cm。照片中兩片同置於一塊透明壓克力方塊上，以黏土固定，拍的正是您將收到的這兩件標本。
