À propos de ce spécimen
Chongqing rabbit-ear baryte at 88 g; a miniature from an uncommon locality.
Baryte (barite) is barium sulfate: heavy for its size, soft, and prone to tabular or bladed crystals with a bright vitreous lustre.
Chongqing's carbonate districts produce calcite, fluorite and baryte from vein deposits.
Dimensions place it in the miniature range, 4.7 × 4.1 × 4 cm (1.85 × 1.61 × 1.57 in) and 88 g (3.1 oz). Otherwise the piece is sold exactly as photographed.
Every specimen here is photographed and catalogued individually before listing.
