Collectors chase calcite for form rather than colour: crisp crystal edges and a habit you can identify from across the room.
Each green phantom is a pause in the crystal's growth history, dusted with chlorite before the quartz kept building.
Guangdong is the source of the red hematoid quartz and green phantom quartz that reached collectors after 2015.
