À propos de ce spécimen
Fujian smoky quartz at 9.8 cm and 109 g; a cabinet piece. A tall, dark smoky quartz crystal with striated faces and a complete tip as the supplier notes; the supplier notes a mining-contact base.
Smoky quartz owes its brown-to-black tone to natural irradiation of trace aluminium in the lattice, and the best pieces keep transparency through the colour.
Fujian's fluorite-quartz veins have supplied collectors for two decades; the province is the source of most of the green and purple Chinese fluorite on the market.
By size it is cabinet, 2.7 × 2.5 × 9.8 cm (1.06 × 0.98 × 3.86 in) and 109 g (3.8 oz). Disclosed condition: a mining-contact base. The price reflects it and the photographs show the affected area. Condition is otherwise as photographed.
Each specimen is individually photographed and catalogued before it is listed.
