À propos de ce spécimen
Fujian smoky quartz with green feldspar at 25 g; a miniature with an uncommon colour pairing.
The smoky colour is natural and usually deepens toward the terminations while the prism bases stay clearer.
Feldspar is the matrix of choice in Chinese pegmatite specimens: blocky cream to pale-orange crystals that set off the garnet, quartz and tourmaline growing on them.
Fujian's fluorite-quartz veins have supplied collectors for two decades; the province is the source of most of the green and purple Chinese fluorite on the market.
Dimensions place it in the miniature range, 3.9 × 3 × 2.4 cm (1.54 × 1.18 × 0.94 in) and 25 g (0.9 oz). Condition is otherwise as photographed.
Specimens are photographed and catalogued one at a time before they reach this page.
