Les cristaux émeraudes à la menthe pâle croisent une matrice sombre avec la tourmaline schorl noire du Yunnan. De longs prismes de béryl minces se trouvent à plusieurs angles, certains partiellement intégrés et d'autres projetant au-dessus de la surface. Un groupe cristallin vert plus brillant près d'un bord fournit un point focal saturé, tandis que la matrice noire fait ressortir l'émeraude plus légère. La vue latérale révèle des prismes supplémentaires et la relation en couches entre le béryl vert et l'hôte de tourmaline foncée.
