À propos de ce spécimen
Inner Mongolia black-purple fluorite at 15 g; a perky-box piece for the colour collector.
Fluorite is the classic collector's halide: calcium fluoride that grows as cubes, octahedra and stepped combinations, often with colour zoning that shows best in daylight.
Inner Mongolia's Huanggang and Chifeng districts produce fluorite, calcite, garnet and rhodochrosite in a lustre and clarity that set the modern standard for Chinese carbonates.
By size it is miniature, 3 × 2.2 × 1.8 cm (1.18 × 0.87 × 0.71 in) and 15 g (0.5 oz). The specimen is otherwise sold in the condition shown.
Every specimen here is photographed and catalogued individually before listing.
