Xuebaoding, Sichuan, aquamarine at 6.1 cm and 103 g; a small cabinet single crystal. A flat, frosted aquamarine tablet in pale blue-green with a translucent body and a small golden patch.
Glassy hexagonal prisms and a sea-blue tone define the aquamarine variety.
The Xuebaoding veins of Pingwu County, Sichuan, produced the orange scheelite and muscovite-aquamarine combinations that put Chinese minerals on the map.
By size it is small cabinet, 6.1 × 2.1 × 5.3 cm (2.40 × 0.83 × 2.09 in) and 103 g (3.6 oz). Otherwise the piece is sold exactly as photographed.
