Chinese fluorite has become a staple of modern collections for its sharp crystal faces, strong colour and a lustre that reads well from across the room.
Xianghualing in Linwu County, Hunan, is a tin-fluorite skarn famous for sharp fluorite, cassiterite and the blue and green fluorite on quartz seen here.
By size it is small cabinet, 7.1 × 5.1 × 3.5 cm (2.80 × 2.01 × 1.38 in) and 133 g (4.7 oz). Otherwise the piece is sold exactly as photographed.
