À propos de ce spécimen
Hebei purple-edged green fluorite at 7 cm and 94 g; a small cabinet piece with two-tone cubes.
Fluorite is the classic collector's halide: calcium fluoride that grows as cubes, octahedra and stepped combinations, often with colour zoning that shows best in daylight.
Hebei's mountain districts produce calcite, quartz and skarn minerals from small mines north of Beijing.
Dimensions place it in the small cabinet range, 7 × 3.8 × 4.6 cm (2.76 × 1.50 × 1.81 in) and 94 g (3.3 oz). Condition is otherwise as photographed.
Specimens are photographed and catalogued one at a time before they reach this page.
