De grandes faces de calcite pâle forment une tour verticale étroite au-dessus d'une base minérale plus finement texturée. Les cristaux de couleur crème angulaire se chevauchent dans la moitié supérieure, les points plus petits étant regroupés autour de leurs bords. La pyrite et le quartz sont enregistrés dans l'association de soutien. Du deuxième angle, la tour apparaît plus profonde et plusieurs larges faces projettent vers l'avant depuis son centre. La calcite supérieure plus brillante contraste avec le matériau gris et métallique en-dessous, donnant à cette pièce Shangbao un accent vertical clair.
