Xianghualing stepped green fluorite at 61 g; a miniature single crystal.
Fluorite is the classic collector's halide: calcium fluoride that grows as cubes, octahedra and stepped combinations, often with colour zoning that shows best in daylight.
Xianghualing in Linwu County, Hunan, is a tin-fluorite skarn famous for sharp fluorite, cassiterite and the blue and green fluorite on quartz seen here.
Dimensions place it in the miniature range, 4.9 × 3.9 × 2.6 cm (1.93 × 1.54 × 1.02 in) and 61 g (2.2 oz). The specimen is otherwise sold in the condition shown.
