À propos de ce spécimen
Yunnan sparkling red aragonite at 26 g; a miniature with strong colour on a dark ground.
Aragonite grows as radiating or stacked crystals, a habit that gives the species its sculptural, coral-like look.
Yunnan's copper and lead-zinc districts produce the azurite, malachite, pyromorphite, hemimorphite and blue aragonite that define Chinese secondary minerals.
Dimensions place it in the miniature range, 4.8 × 2.5 × 2 cm (1.89 × 0.98 × 0.79 in) and 26 g (0.9 oz). The specimen is otherwise sold in the condition shown.
Carbonate: never clean with acid or vinegar.
Every specimen here is photographed and catalogued individually before listing.
