Questo pezzo dello Hunan è sormontato da una corona di lame lucenti come acciaio. I cristalli di stibina, alcuni diritti come lame di coltello e altri lievemente incurvati, si irradiano in fasci sovrapposti da una matrice color cuoio spolverata di piccoli cristalli di quarzo, e le loro facce profondamente striate lanciano riflessi argentei duri contro i mazzi più scuri e opachi che stanno dietro.
La stibina è solfuro di antimonio, Sb2S3, e lo Hunan è la località classica per i suoi cristalli ben formati. È anche fra le cose più tenere che si possano tenere su uno scaffale: durezza 2 Mohs, che l'unghia scalfisce senza sforzo, e la sola pressione basta a deformarla. Non passi mai un panno sulle lame e non lasci mai che un altro esemplare vi si appoggi contro: un pennello morbido e asciutto è l'unico strumento che dovrebbe toccare questo pezzo.
Il pezzo misura 7,6 × 4,3 × 5,1 cm e pesa 150 g, con la matrice sufficientemente piatta al di sotto da lasciarlo stare dritto senza sostegno. Quel che ha registrato la fotocamera è esattamente ciò che parte da noi: questo esemplare, queste lame.
