石膏是含水硫酸钙 CaSO4·2H2O，莫氏硬度 2，用指甲就能刮伤；针状形态更是它最脆弱的一种样貌。 针状晶簇生长于结晶缓慢而不受拘束的开放空腔中，因此每一根针从成核到尖端都保持着自己的方向。 请以软性吹球除尘，不要用刷子，也绝对不要水洗——石膏在水中略溶。
