錫石(SnO₂)是錫的主要礦石,也是產自中國著名雪寶頂(四川省平武)最受追捧的收藏礦物之一。這件令人印象深刻的 425 g 標本,展現了使雪寶頂錫石在全球礦物收藏家間成為傳奇的出眾淨度與豐富天然特徵。晶體具備發育良好的晶面、良好的光澤,以及此礦種罕見的一定透光性,是中國錫石極致表現的出眾範例。
錫石結晶於正方晶系,以其金剛(鑽石般)光澤、高比重(6.8–7.1)與莫氏硬度 6–7 而備受珍視。雪寶頂以全球頂尖的寶石級錫石產地聞名,出產透明至半透明、光彩出眾的晶體。雪寶頂的阿爾卑斯型裂隙礦床曾產出有史以來最優質的錫石標本,並伴生世界級的白鎢礦與海藍寶石。
