關於此標本
螢石披著螢石，而且是兩次。這對福建標本共享同一個把戲：每一枚晶體先是生長、停頓，接著被披上第二代細小而閃亮的立方體，於是兩者都穿著糖霜般的外殼，而非玻璃質的晶面。不同的是底下的本體。一枚是薄荷海綠色，被從邊到邊覆滿的白霜柔化成粉彩色調。另一枚是深茄紫色，在覆層變薄之處近乎全黑，同樣的外殼在此讀來像撒在深色天鵝絨上的亮片。
這樣的晶簇覆生記錄了晶洞中兩次獨立的富礦流體脈動，第二次直接在第一次的晶體上結晶。結果是以透明度換取了質感：這是屬於斜射光的螢石，成千上萬個微小晶面同時發火，而不是一扇乾淨的窗。赭色母岩的斑點在深色晶體上為閃光加上頓點，而當光線找到穿透之處，淡紫色的微光便沿著它的邊緣聚攏。
這一對合計尺寸 6.4 × 5.6 × 3.3 cm，共重 150 g。兩枚晶體作為同一批次出貨，照片所示即為您將收到的兩件標本。
