關於此標本
琥珀金色的重晶石晶體散落在淡海綠色的螢石晶板上，宛如珠子灑落於磨砂玻璃之上。重晶石呈板狀而富玻璃光澤，最大的一枚將近一公分，每一枚都是溫暖的蜜橙色，映著冷調的綠；晶體之間鋪著一層閃爍的無色微晶粉末，成片地攫取光線。螢石內部，立方體的稜邊如柔和的幾何殘影般留存下來，左緣與下緣還帶著淡淡的紫色色帶。
生成順序清晰可讀：螢石在先，結成立方體疊生的晶板，隨後流體改變，重晶石在其上結晶。重晶石為 BaSO4，莫氏硬度僅 3 至 3.5，以淺色礦物來說重得出人意料；底下的螢石則是 CaF2，莫氏硬度 4，具完全的八面體解理。這塊晶板上沒有任何拋光、鍍膜或拼接之處——它從地下取出時就是這副模樣。
晶板尺寸 7.1 × 6.1 × 2.3 cm，重 164 g，厚度輕薄，可直立擺放，也可平放於燈下。這些影像記錄的正是這一塊晶板，每一枚重晶石都分毫不差。
