À propos de ce spécimen
Guangdong stepped calcite floater at 14.9 cm and 359 g; a large cabinet piece that stands on any side.
Collectors chase calcite for form rather than colour: crisp crystal edges and a habit you can identify from across the room.
Quartz is the most collected mineral on earth for good reason: sharp hexagonal prisms, bright terminations and endless variation between localities.
Guangdong is the source of the red hematoid quartz and green phantom quartz that reached collectors after 2015.
By size it is large cabinet, 14.9 × 8.9 × 3.8 cm (5.87 × 3.50 × 1.50 in) and 359 g (12.7 oz). Condition is otherwise as photographed.
Carbonate: never clean with acid or vinegar.
Each specimen is individually photographed and catalogued before it is listed.
