A lime-green prehnite ball with a faintly waxy surface rests near the top of a wedge of dark matrix that is entirely coated in fine white quartz druse. The sphere is complete all round and catches light on its upper curve, while the sparkling matrix gives the piece its texture.
This is the classic Jinkouhe combination from Sichuan: isolated prehnite spheres on quartz-druse matrix, mined from a skarn exposed by road-building in the 2010s. Compact, clean and easy to display at any angle.
At 30 g (1.1 oz) it is a small cabinet specimen that displays well on a shelf or in a cabinet. Sold exactly as photographed; any known repair, mount, treatment or condition note is disclosed in this listing.
