About this specimen
Morocco prehnite at 3 cm; a miniature, supplied in the display box shown. Prehnite blades in white to palest green spread into a wide fan, each blade ending in a fine sawtooth edge, the group standing upright so the fan shape reads clearly from the front.
Apple-green prehnite typically builds stacked, fan-shaped crystal aggregates.
Moroccan vanadinite from the Mibladen district is the world standard for the species, prized for red colour and sharp hexagonal form.
By size it is miniature, 3 × 2.2 × 1.4 cm (1.18 × 0.87 × 0.55 in). Otherwise the piece is sold exactly as photographed.
