À propos de ce spécimen
Yunnan golden transparent baryte at 7 cm and 156 g; a small cabinet piece with rich colour.
Baryte (barite) is barium sulfate: heavy for its size, soft, and prone to tabular or bladed crystals with a bright vitreous lustre.
Yunnan's copper and lead-zinc districts produce the azurite, malachite, pyromorphite, hemimorphite and blue aragonite that define Chinese secondary minerals.
Dimensions place it in the small cabinet range, 7 × 6 × 4.5 cm (2.76 × 2.36 × 1.77 in) and 156 g (5.5 oz). Otherwise the piece is sold exactly as photographed.
Each specimen is individually photographed and catalogued before it is listed.
