鏽紅色的釩鉛礦六方晶體像彩紙屑般撒落在這塊摩洛哥標本上，底下鋪著珍珠光澤的重晶石刃狀晶層——數百顆稜角清晰的小圓柱，每一顆都是教科書式的六方柱，在重晶石扇形展開之處聚成堆，到淺色的晶脊上則疏落為單顆。
重晶石本身佔了一半的魅力：刃狀、乳白色、層層如書頁，為紅色晶體提供了深色母岩永遠給不了的明亮襯底。這種來自摩洛哥米布拉登礦帶的組合，是此一礦種最經典的呈現方式，而 12.7 cm 的尺寸使它成為完整的櫃級標本，而非常見的小件。
