About this specimen
Two sharp, ruby-red hexagonal vanadinite tablets, one larger and one smaller, sit on a flat chip of pale pink-beige sandstone with a scatter of tiny red crystals around them. The tablets are glassy and complete on all visible edges.
Moroccan vanadinite in the isolated-tablet form is the most graphic way to show the species; a thumbnail with textbook hexagons. Lead vanadate: wash hands after handling.
It measures 4 × 2.7 × 1.7 cm (1.57 × 1.06 × 0.67 in) and weighs 16 g (0.6 oz), a miniature-sized piece that fits a miniature cabinet or a desk display. Sold exactly as photographed; any known repair, mount, treatment or condition note is disclosed in this listing.
