關於此標本
兩枚輝銻礦刃晶在此以幾乎直角相會，而兩者的差別大到不能再大。直立的那一枚裹著芥末黃與橄欖色的外殼，蝕變已經啃進表面；自它側向斜出的那一枚則是未經侵蝕的明亮鋼色，通體縱紋深刻，解理面潔淨如鏡。腐蝕與完好之間的對比，正是這件標本全部的魅力所在。
輝銻礦（Sb2S3）是硫化銻，湖南則是它的經典產地——刃晶長成細長的柱狀，帶著這一枚上可以逐條數清的縱向條紋。它同時也只有摩氏硬度 2，軟到指甲就能劃出痕跡，柔韌到握得不小心就會彎折。黃色外殼是這種礦物自身的蝕變產物，提醒著長時間的光照與濕氣會讓輝銻礦逐漸失去光澤；請將它存放在陰暗乾燥處，盡量不要把玩。
標本尺寸 6.6 × 5.3 × 4.3 cm，重 150 g，以黏土膠固定於圖中可見的小型壓克力方塊上。這裡沒有任何一張是庫存照片——就是這件標本本身。
