Über diese Stufe
Ein schneeweißes Büschel aus Gipsnadeln sitzt nahe der oberen Kante einer dünnen eisenbraunen Platte: eine einzelne halbkugelige Rosette, aufgebaut aus Hunderten haarfeiner Kristalle, die aus einer gemeinsamen Wurzel strahlen. Auch die Matrix lohnt den zweiten Blick – schokoladen- und rostbraun, mit einer silbergrauen traubigen Glasur quer über die Mitte und je einer klingenartigen Spitze an beiden Enden.
Gips ist CaSO4·2H2O und liegt bei Mohshärte 2, dem Weichsten, was die meisten Sammler aufbewahren. Ein Fingernagel ritzt ihn, warmes Wasser beginnt ihn zu lösen; eine Rosette wie diese darf deshalb nie abgespült werden – die Nadeln verfilzen und verlieren genau die frostige Textur, die sie überhaupt erst sammelnswert macht. Stauben Sie sie mit einem trockenen, sehr weichen Pinsel oder einem Luftstoß ab und halten Sie die Fingerspitzen vom Weiß fern.
Mit 7,9 × 3,0 × 5,3 cm und 75 g wird die Platte auf dem klaren Acrylblock der Bilder präsentiert, aufgesetzt auf einen Tupfer weißer Klebemasse. Aufgenommen genau so, wie sie bei uns eintraf – dies ist die angebotene Stufe.
