About this specimen

Guizhou gypsum at 6.6 cm; a small cabinet piece. The supplier did not record a weight.

Gypsum (selenite) is hydrated calcium sulfate, very soft and prone to bladed or swallowtail-twinned crystals with a pearly lustre.

Guizhou is the classic source for collector creedite and hosts important fluorite, calcite and copper-mineral localities around Qinglong.

The piece is small cabinet in size, 6.6 × 2.4 × 4 cm (2.60 × 0.94 × 1.57 in). The specimen is otherwise sold in the condition shown.

Water-sensitive: keep dry and never wash.
