About this specimen
Reflective arsenopyrite faces overlap in a broad crest above a darker matrix with associated dolomite. Many narrow metallic edges point in different directions, creating a crowded, layered surface across the front. Pale scattered areas appear between some of the larger reflective groups. The reverse angle shows more of the dark supporting material and a rim of metallic growth along its upper edge, making the contrast between the crystal-covered face and the comparatively plain back easy to examine.
