About this specimen
Dark gray and violet cuprite surfaces cover the upper front of a narrow rust-brown matrix. A lighter sparkling band runs down part of the middle, separating darker crystal areas from the rough reddish host. Its elongated shape is clearest in the wider photograph. The closer angle reveals fine changes in color across the uneven crystalline ridge, with brighter reflections concentrated near the upper edge and more subdued brown texture below.
