A fan of transparent quartz points, one tall and several small, rising from a base of dark green epidote blades that also coat the lower faces of the quartz. The clarity of the quartz is high.
A 25 g Sichuan epidote-quartz thumbnail with clean, undamaged terminations; the green base gives the clear crystals contrast.
It measures 4.1 × 2.9 × 2 cm (1.61 × 1.14 × 0.79 in) and weighs 25 g (0.9 oz), a miniature-sized piece that fits a miniature cabinet or a desk display.
