About this specimen
A specimen from Qinglong, Guizhou, sold by the supplier as gibbsite and allophane with flower-like gearksutite. Bright blue crusts and small rounded growths cover the top of a pale matrix. Under UV light it fluoresces, and after the light is switched off it gives a green phosphorescent glow; both are shown in the photos and video. The supplier gives a size of about 6.8 cm, and the caliper in the photos agrees. Natural minerals may have small imperfections; what you see in the photos is what you get.
