About this specimen
Golden yellow mimetite crystals crowd an irregular, branching matrix with darker brown areas visible in the center. Numerous small reflective faces create a dense surface, while larger crystals stand out near the lower right edge. The close photograph reveals the varying directions of the short crystal forms and the spaces between raised groups. This Lianping specimen combines a warm yellow exterior with a deeper rust-brown interior, creating a compact cluster with an uneven, open outline. Dimensions: 3.3 × 1.9 × 2.7 cm / 33 × 19 × 27 mm / 1.30 × 0.75 × 1.06 inch. Estimated weight: 42 g / 1.48 oz, calculated from its dimensions.
