About this specimen
Warm brown grossular dodecahedra form a compact upper cluster above black specular hematite from Guangdong. Broad garnet faces meet in crisp geometric edges, while slender dark hematite blades radiate across the lower front. Pale quartz occupies one side and creates a bright boundary against both mineral groups. The second angle reveals additional garnet crystals and the layered metallic base, showing a distinct three-part arrangement of brown, black and white growth. Dimensions: 4.7 × 3 × 3.7 cm / 47 × 30 × 37 mm / 1.85 × 1.18 × 1.46 inch. Estimated weight: 53 g / 1.87 oz, calculated from its dimensions.
