About this specimen
Several lavender crystal flowers rise above a cream-colored matrix, with one larger rounded cluster near the front. Fine points spread outward from each group, leaving patches of the rough pale base visible between them. Smaller lavender tufts follow the upper edge and extend the composition sideways. An alternate lighting photograph changes the colors considerably; the ordinary-light view provides the reference for the soft purple clusters and warm surrounding matrix shown on this Guizhou creedite specimen. Dimensions: 5.3 × 1.5 × 2.7 cm / 53 × 15 × 27 mm / 2.09 × 0.59 × 1.06 inch. Estimated weight: 18 g / 0.63 oz, calculated from its dimensions.
