About this specimen
A rounded orange creedite spray sits above a pale, translucent fluorite crystal. The fine creedite points make a busy cap, contrasting with the broad smooth-looking faces of the host beneath. Seen under ordinary lighting, the warm orange top and cool pale base remain clearly separate. The supplied ultraviolet photograph changes the color balance substantially, so both views are useful when considering this small association and its compact, top-heavy silhouette. Dimensions: 2.5 × 1.8 × 2.6 cm / 25 × 18 × 26 mm / 0.98 × 0.71 × 1.02 inch. Estimated weight: 10 g / 0.35 oz, calculated from its dimensions.
