Rose-pink patches appear between clear to pale brown calcite crystals on a broad matrix. The elongated calcite faces overlap at different angles, leaving small windows onto the brighter pink material beneath. A close view makes these contrasts especially apparent along the middle of the specimen. Its roughly triangular outline and busy surface offer several focal points, with the strongest pink areas concentrated between the larger transparent-looking crystals rather than forming a continuous layer.
