About this specimen
Three water-clear quartz crystals lean away from one another on a small cream-coloured crust, the tallest a broad, glassy point crowded with internal veils that flash silver as it turns. There is barely a whisper of smoke anywhere in the group — under a lamp it reads as colourless, with only a faint grey cast deep in the fractures.
The Erongo Mountains are a granite complex whose miarolitic cavities yield quartz alongside aquamarine, schorl and feldspar, and the pale crust at the base of this group is that pocket lining, kept for context rather than trimmed away. Quartz is Mohs 7 and unusually forgiving in a collection: it can be rinsed, handled and repositioned without the caution that softer cabinet species demand.
The group stands 5.8 cm tall on a 4.1 × 2.3 cm footprint and weighs 45 g, held with removable putty on the clear acrylic base shown. What went in front of the camera is exactly what goes into the box.

About Erongo Mountains

Will I receive the exact specimen shown?
Yes. Every specimen is a single, one-of-a-kind piece, and the photographs show the exact item you will receive — never a stock photo.
Is this Quartz natural?
Yes — specimens like this form naturally. As is standard in the trade, some pieces are gently cleaned or trimmed; we photograph the actual specimen and describe its origin and condition conservatively.
How is it packed and shipped?
Orders ship worldwide with fully insured, tracked delivery, carefully packed to protect fragile crystals.
Can I return it?
Yes — there is a 14-day return window.
